Our Children's Ministry is called The G.R.O.V.E. which stands for Grow, Reach, Others, Values and Eternity. Our goal is to provide quality, age appropriate, Godly programs for our children from birth through fifth grade. We not only serve our children but provide parents with the tools to teach their children about Christ at home.
We currently have two events that need pre-registration in order to participate.
We're bringing our egg hunt to the kids this year! Pick a date and time that works best for your family. The Easter Bunny will visit your home to say hi to your kids (socially distanced) and your kids will then have an egg hunt in your yard! Event options are Friday, March 26 from 2-6 PM and Saturday, March 27 from 10 AM - 6 PM. REGISTER HERE.
What's the Plan is for anyone interested or planning to volunteer, in any capacity, with the Children's Ministry in 2021. We will reveal our 12 month plan and give you important tools and techniques to use in the classroom and beyond. Two sessions on Saturday, March 20 will be offered in order to social distance. The choices are 9-11 AM or 1-3 PM. REGISTER HERE.
Every Sunday morning we provide a safe environment for kids from birth through fifth grade where they can learn about Jesus and connect with each other. All children enjoy a safe and fun class with curriculum and activities tailored to fit their age group and level of understanding.
Both our 9AM and 10:30AM services offer classes for all children in the nursery through 5th grade.
Face coverings are required for children over the age of 2 and our volunteer teachers are always masked and sanitizing. Speaking of that, we are taking sanitizing seriously. Children will always receive new or sanitized items in their classes, and each room is cleaned thoroughly between services.
When visiting Vineyard for the first time with children eligible for The G.R.O.V.E., you will be directed to the children's check-in station where an actual live person will walk you through the process. You will register your child(ren) during your first visit and answer a few questions. On subsequent visits, you'll be in the system and check-in will take less than a minute.
Each child is given a printed name badge and corresponding badge for the parent providing another level of security. Only the person with the badge may pick up your child at the conclusion of service.
Men and women within our fellowship volunteer to teach in The G.R.O.V.E. Before each teachers' three-month tour of duty, they have completed a background check and a training on safety and how to provide the best teaching for children of specific ages. They are devoted to being the hands and feet of Jesus and giving your child the best care.
If you have an interest in volunteering, e-mail our Children's Ministry Pastor, Heather Fleck, and she would be happy to discuss opportunities with you.
Kids in grades 3-5 go to Club 345 where they will experience interactive worship, hands on & relevant lessons, break out groups and a time to fellowship with friends. There are all kinds of surprises that happen each week from science experiments to guest speakers.
At The G.R.O.V.E., we are excited to share the love of Jesus with His smallest of children! If you have any questions about our children's ministry, contact Pastor Heather Fleck and she will be happy to answer any of your questions.
